About the Team
Pauliina Siniauer is a freelance journalist and a Fulbright Scholar from Finland, currently based in New York. She is specialized in food-related journalism, and has worked for Helsingin Sanomat, Finnish Broadcasting Company, Radio Helsinki, BBC Radio 4, Mott Haven Herald and Saveur Magazine.
Mallory Moench is a multimedia journalist who has reported from three continents. She worked for The Wire India and has been published by Al Jazeera English, The Intercept and The New York Daily News, among others. In February 2018, she will be joining the Associated Press to cover state legislature and politics in Alabama.
Rahima Nasa covers politics, crime, and education in New York City, and has worked for local outlets like The New York Daily News and WNYC. Over the next year she will reporting on hate crimes and bias incidents all over the country for ProPublica. She’s a native New Yorker who grew up between the Bronx and Queens.
Jeremy Ibarra is a New York-based freelance journalist with experience in multimedia reporting. He has previously worked with The New Indian Express in Chennai, India and has been published in City Limits, Review Fix and at The New Indian Express.
Lizeth Beltran is a multimedia journalist based in New York. In the past, she’s worked as a reporter covering social justice and social issues. She has worked at MSNBC, the Long Beach Post and Caring Magazine. She is currently working at NBC News.
